CamTel and InfiNet partner to modernise broadband networks

5 Nov 2019

InfiNet Wireless, a supplier of broadband wireless access solutions, has announced a project to modernise and expand the broadband infrastructure of Cameroon’s state-owned telecoms operator CamTel. Under the agreement, CamTel will create a pilot zone to upgrade and expand its existing network infrastructure using InfiNet solutions.

‘InfiNet has been represented in the African market for a long time, so we are therefore familiar with the specifics of doing business with our specialised clients: telecom operators and Internet providers,’ said InfiNet’s CEO Dmitry Okorokov, adding: ‘Key areas for us are security and building a modern telecommunications infrastructure. InfiNet is ready to offer its competencies in this area through a range of tried and tested products suitable for the African environment.’
