m:tel completes acquisition of Elta-Kabel

6 Sep 2019

Bosnia’s Telekom Srpske, which trades under the m:tel banner, has announced the completion of its acquisition of local cable operator Elta-Kabel. Confirming the conclusion of the deal in a press release, Telekom Srpske noted that it purchased 100% of Elta-Kabel’s shares, although it stopped short of revealing any financial details of the transaction. The announcement comes after reports last month that Telekom Srpske had gained conditional approval from the Council of Competition (Konkurencijsko vijece) for the proposed purchase of the cableco.

TeleGeography notes that the successful conclusion of the Elta-Kabel acquisition marks the third company that Telekom Srpske has taken over this year, having previously finalised deals for Blicnet and Telrad Net in January and February, respectively.
