Mozambique gets second 4G network

16 Jul 2019

Movitel, the smallest of Mozambique’s three cellcos in terms of subscriber numbers, has launched 4G services. Coverage is initially limited to capital city Maputo, according to a report from @Verdade. Rival operator Vodacom switched on its own LTE network in Maputo in September last year, though there have been complaints since then that network speeds have fallen far short of the 100Mbps which was promised in marketing material.
