State-owned full-service provider Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) is planning to establish a 5G corridor in New Delhi as part of its testing of the technology, the Economic Times reports. BSNL chairman Anupam Shrivastava was quoted as saying: ‘In Delhi, we are planning a 5G Corridor to showcase the possible use of new technology with the optimum data speed at 5G levels’. The corridor will connect the headquarters of the Ministry of Communications and BSNL, covering a region of the capital that the telco notes has a high level of footfall. In addition to the corridor, BSNL will establish a 5G test centre in New Delhi to demonstrate use cases of the technology.
