MTN Ghana has blamed recent service interruptions experienced by its customers on road contractors repeatedly cutting fibre-optic lines. According to a report by Business World Ghana, the telco’s Acting General Manager for the Northern Sector, Charles Osei Akoto, has clarified that the dropped calls and service unavailability were not due to equipment malfunctions, but rather the result of ongoing work on the Atonsu-Abrankese road. The company is engaging with contractors and other service providers undertaking construction work in order to avoid any further damage to lines.
