DTAC teams up with TOT, CAT for 5G tests

4 Apr 2019

Total Access Communication (DTAC) has partnered with TOT and CAT Telecom to launch 5G testbeds at Chulalongkorn University and the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) under a public-private partnership (PPP) model, The Bangkok Post writes. The trials, scheduled to begin in July, will include lab and live testing of 5G use cases at the two sites. Alexandra Reich, chief executive of DTAC, said that her company has requested the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission’s (NBTC’s) approval to conduct 5G trials and 4G/5G compatibility tests through several spectrum ranges, including the 1800MH, 2300MHz, 2600MHz, 26GHz and 28GHz bands.
