State-backed operator Telekom Srbija is looking to continue its acquisition spree with the takeover of Cacak-based cableco Telemark, Danas reports. An unnamed source at the company was quoted as saying that it had received a letter from Telekom Srbija expressing its interest in acquiring the operator and that negotiations were now ‘in progress’. Telemark offers cable broadband and TV services as well as fixed telephony in areas of Cacak, Kraljevo, Gornji Milanovac, Pozega, Lucani, Guca, Kosjeric, Beljevac and Usce. Earlier reports claimed that the company had already been sold to Telekom in January, but these were dismissed by Telemark owner Slobodan Markovic.
As previously reported by TeleGeography’s CommsUpdate, since November 2018 Telekom Srbija has acquired Kopernikus Technology Radijus Vektor, AVcom and Masko.
