DNA inks funding agreement with EIB to underpin investment in 5G

8 Feb 2019

Finnish multi-service operator DNA has secured a funding agreement for a total investment of EUR90 million (USD102 million) with the European Investment Bank (EIB). Confirming the development in a press release, DNA said the agreement consists of two elements: a EUR50 million instalment which was agreed upon last autumn; and a just-agreed supplementary instalment of EUR40 million. The Finnish operator has said the loan will principally be used for its investments in the deployment of 5G technology, while also being utilised to increase the capacity of its 4G network.
