Elisa reports revenue increase for 2018

Finland-based Elisa has reported a 2.5% year-on-year increase in revenues for the twelve months to 31 December 2018. Citing a combination of factors, including acquisitions made in 2017 and growth in its mobile service business and equipment sales in both Finland and Estonia, turnover totalled EUR1.83 billion (USD2.1 billion) in FY 2018, up from EUR1.79 billion a year earlier. EBITDA for the year under review was EUR640 million, up from EUR608 million, while operating income was EUR404 million, compared to EUR378 million. Profit before tax for Elisa’s latest financial year totalled EUR381 million, down from EUR403 million.

Operationally, at the end of December 2018 Elisa had a total of 4.66 million mobile subscribers on its books, down marginally (-0.4%) y-o-y, while fixed broadband accesses increased by 0.5% to 695,500.
