Sri Lankan telco Dialog Axiata Group has launched a new cloud platform, dubbed ‘Dialog Enterprise Cloud’, to meet the needs of domestic enterprises and bolster the nation’s enterprise cloud industry and digitisation efforts. ColomboPage reports that the operator’s new solution extends the capabilities of a Software Defined Data Centre (SDDC) with ‘a feature-rich, self-service cloud environment where enterprises can enjoy a fully-fledged cloud experience with on-demand elasticity, streamlined onboarding and hybrid cloud operations enabling them to manage their cloud services easily and efficiently’. Dialog Enterprise Cloud is described as a ‘complete greenfield deployment, built with high performance infrastructure and hosted at Sri Lanka’s first Tier III and ISO 27001:2013 certified data centre’. Launched in partnership with VMware, the platform means that organisations in Sri Lanka now have access to virtualised infrastructure, networking, storage, memory and elements of security, along with Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS) and Backup as a Service (BaaS) facilities.
