Thailand’s National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) is postponing the planned auction of 700MHz spectrum to Q3 2019, from the original February 2019 date, The Bangkok Post writes. The 700MHz spectrum band is currently used for digital TV broadcasting, but it will be vacated for telecoms use in 2020, in line with the government’s roadmap for 5G adoption in the country. No reason for the delay was given.
