Parallel Wireless teams up with Telesol to provide 4G in Ghana

2 Nov 2018

Parallel Wireless, an end-to-end connectivity solutions provider, has joined forces with ISP Telesol to provide wireless 4G LTE services in Ghana, writes Developing Telecoms. The technology provided by Parallel Wireless uses an open RAN, carrier-grade base station Converged Wireless System (CWS) that is able to connect to any available backhaul, with the solution maximising data and voice coverage to Telesol 4G users. One of the benefits of this technology is that the CWS does not require substantial power or cooling cabinets or servers, making it power-efficient, while the HetNet Gateway (HNG) is a 2G/3G/4G/5G gateway plus security gateway which configures, optimises and automates the network to provide seamless mobility for subscribers.
