CanalBox to offer services over Saint-Anne 2.0 network in 2019

10 Oct 2018

Canal Plus Overseas, which owns the CanalBox and Mediaserv brands in Guadeloupe, will start offering fibre-optic services over the Saint-Anne 2.0 public initiative FTTH network from 2019, NewsMedia Overseas writes. TeleGeography notes that the town of Saint-Anne was among one of 34 projects selected by the French government for a fibre rollout under France’s Tres Haut Debit (THD) project. The deployment commenced in July 2012 and involved the rollout of 220km of fibre-optics serving 18,000 connection points. Currently, only Dauphin Telecom provides commercial offerings over the fibre network.
