Project Loon could launch in Uganda

The Google sister company Project Loon is in talks with authorities in Uganda over the possible launch of balloon-based 4G LTE services. The firm recently reached an agreement to offer a similar service in Kenya. According to news outlet Chimpreports.com, the US Ambassador to Uganda, Deborah Malac, is quoted as saying: ‘Bringing internet to rural areas in Uganda remains a big challenge. The presence of Project Loon here today is an important step towards connecting remote populations.’
