Adamo acquires regional ISP Knet

Adamo Telecom Iberia, the Spanish fibre-optic broadband provider owned by Stockholm-based investment firm EQT, has announced that it has acquired Knet, an ISP based in the autonomous community of La Rioja. Adamo notes that the transaction is valued at around EUR10 million (USD11.7 million), although this figure also includes funding designated for planned network deployments in La Rioja, Navarra and Alava. The new fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) networks aim to pass around 50,000 homes. Founded in 1997, Knet currently serves around 5,000 customers, and generates an annual turnover of EUR3 million.
