Stephen Price, managing director of Flow Jamaica, has confirmed that efforts are underway to expand the company’s LTE coverage to 87% of population by the end of 2018, before extending 4G coverage to 95% of the population by 2020. The Jamaica Gleaner reports that the comments were made on the second day of the Jamaica Investment Forum (JIF) at the Montego Bay Convention Centre.

According to TeleGeography’s GlobalComms Database, Flow switched on its Jamaican LTE network in December 2016. The 170 cell site 4G network currently covers locations such as Kingston, St. Catherine, Mandeville, Montego Bay and Ocho Rios.
