Indian wireless provider Idea Cellular has completed the rollout of VoLTE services to all 20 of its 4G circles, having launched the service in Himachal Pradesh, Odisha, Assam, North East and Jammu & Kashmir (J&K). The only two circles where the service is not available are the Kolkata and Delhi metro regions. As part of the launch, Idea is offering subscribers up to 30GB of additional data: 10GB for making their first VoLTE call, plus another 10GB if they provide feedback on the service after four weeks and 10GB more if they submit feedback after eight weeks. Chief Marketing Officer for Idea, Sashi Shankar, commented on the development, saying: ‘With the completion of last phase of [our] VoLTE rollout, Idea is now the only operator to offer pan India integrated 2G, 3G, 4G and VoLTE services. Through our collaboration with ten leading device brands, which cover 75% of the smartphone market, we will cater to our growing base of VoLTE users across the country.’ The device-makers referred to by the official were Samsung, Xiaomi, Vivo, OnePlus, Nokia, Asus, Kult, Panasonic, Honor and Huawei.
