Rogers’ IPTV service available for Ontario customers

14 Jun 2018

Cableco Rogers has begun providing its Ignite TV IPTV service to customers in Ontario, following trials with company employees, MobileSyrup reported. Although so far a low-key launch with no major advertising campaign, Rogers’ website shows details of the new service, based on Comcast’s X1 technology. Features include: Instant On Demand (accessing content as soon as it finishes airing on live TV); Restart; Cloud PVR storage for 200 hours of HD/4K recordings for a year (downloadable to mobile device for further storage); Ignite TV app (viewing shows and Cloud PVR recordings on laptops, tablets and smartphones); all-in-one voice search including Netflix integration; and Voice Remote control option. The website adds that all Rogers Ignite bundles come with high speed Ignite Internet and Ignite Home Phone.
