French telco Iliad says it is set to launch Italy’s fourth mobile network operator (MNO) by 21 June. Iliad, which acquired spare spectrum and network assets sold by Italian cellcos Wind and Tre as part of their 2016 merger, has labelled Italy ‘a new frontier for growth,’ having already shaken up its domestic market when it launched cellular services under the name Free Mobile in January 2012.
