Vodafone Ukraine services partially restored in Donetsk

4 May 2018

Vodafone Ukraine’s mobile network services in the separatist-occupied self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic – cut off in January – were partially restored at the end of April, Liga.net reports. Around 45% of the Russian-backed operator’s base stations in the region remain out of action, the company indicated. Small local mobile operators have sprung up in the separatist area, although lacking full interconnection with the mainstream Ukrainian operators.
