MTS launches VoLTE, Wi-Fi calling in Moscow

5 Apr 2018

Russian wireless giant Mobile TeleSystems (MTS) has announced that it has enabled VoLTE and VoWiFi functionality for Moscow-based users with compatible handsets. MTS notes that the VoLTE service will start working automatically as soon as users next update their handsets. Wi-Fi calls will be priced the same as cellular calls, as defined by each user’s tariff plan; the service will be ‘seamless’ anywhere with a stable Wi-Fi connection, the cellco notes.
