Baktelecom launches TD-LTE broadband around Baku

4 Apr 2018

Baku Telephone Communication (Baktelecom), Azerbaijan’s second largest telco by subscribers, has announced the launch of a TD-LTE broadband network around capital city Baku. Initially the new technology has been made available in areas where communication infrastructure is limited, with Baktelecom gradually establishing new base transceiver stations (BTS) in villages and settlements around Baku. The company notes that residents in these areas wishing to connect via LTE to their phone, internet or other multimedia devices should receive devices that will support the TD-LTE technology.
