Altice offloads international wholesale voice business to Tofane

13 Mar 2018

Netherlands-based multi-country telecoms group Altice has entered into an exclusive sale agreement with Tofane Global, which will see it offload its international wholesale voice carrier business in France, Portugal and the Dominican Republic. Altice notes that this transaction forms part of its non-core asset disposal programme, which is designed to ‘strengthen the company’s long-term balance sheet position, and focus on improving the operational and financial results of its key franchises’.

TeleGeography notes that this transaction represents the second acquisition by Paris-based Tofane Global this month. Last week, the French company acquired US-based wholesale carrier subsidiary iBasis from Dutch telco KPN.
