Orange Romania, the country’s second largest mobile network operator (MNO) by subscribers, has announced that it has increased its maximum data connection speeds over its LTE-A networks from 375Mbps to 500Mbps in 95 cities, while customers of its LTE network will see their downstream speeds upped from 150Mbps to 200Mbps. Upload transfer rates have also been upgraded, from 50Mbps to 75Mbps in the LTE network and up to 150Mbps in the LTE-A network. Orange Romania’s 4G footprint currently covers just over 93% of the population, with 100% of the country’s urban population in over 10,100 localities also covered.
