Entel plots USD304m fibre investment in 2018

State-owned Bolivian telco Empresa Nacional de Telecomunicaciones (Entel) will reportedly invest USD304 million in the expansion of its fibre-optic networks during 2018. The figure forms part of the telco’s USD1 billion investment drive by 2020. During 2017, the company generated a net profit of BOB1.06 billion (USD151.7 million), up from BOB1.0 billion in 2016, state news agency Agencia Boliviana de Informacion reports.
