CTU launches consultation on 900MHz, 1800MHz frequency bands, Vodafone seeks licence extension

22 Dec 2017

The Czech Telecommunications Office (CTU) has announced that it will examine whether there are grounds for limiting the number of rights to use radio frequencies in the 880MHz-915MHz and 925MHz-960MHz frequency bands, and whether this restriction should be maintained. Vodafone Czech Republic currently holds radio frequency allocations in the 900MHz and 1800MHz bands and the operator has applied for these allocations to be extended until 2029. The CTU said that any comments on this proposal should be made within the next month.
