Airtel plans to cover 150 sites with LTE network in Q1 2018

After launching a 4G LTE network in Madagascar last month, Airtel has announced that it plans to extend this network to 150 sites in the first quarter of 2018, reports L’Express. Madagascar’s leading mobile network operator (MNO) by subscribers has already deployed LTE technology in 50 sites and plans to rapidly expand its 4G network to catch up with rival cellcos Telecom Malagasy (Telma) and Orange which launched fourth generation mobile networks in June 2015 and March 2017 respectively.
