UAE telcos launch new VoIP service

27 Nov 2017

United Arab Emirates (UAE) telcos Etisalat and Du have both launched a new VoIP service. The operators are offering unlimited calling via the Botim app, with access charged at AED50 (USD13.60) a month for one person or AED100 a month for all members of a family, the Khaleej Times writes. VoIP services are only permitted in the UAE if offered by one of the country’s two licensed telcos; standalone products such as WhatsApp are not authorised.
