Bakcell, Azerbaijan’s second largest mobile network operator (MNO) by subscribers, has announced that it has launched its 4G LTE service in Ganja, with the deployment coming two months after rival cellco Azercell introduced its own 4G network in the city. Bakcell stated that its 4G LTE technology supports connection speeds of up to 225Mbps and that customers living in Ganja can exchange their regular SIM cards for a new 4G SIM card free of charge by visiting the company’s customer service centre.
