Slovenian operator Telekom Slovenije has announced that its LTE-A mobile networks now cover 35% of the country’s population, while standard LTE coverage stands at 98%. The LTE network offers download rates of up to 150Mbps and upload speeds of up to 50Mbps, while the LTE-A system offers speeds of 450Mbps (downlink) and 50Mbps (uplink). The firm says that almost 30% of its base stations now support the faster LTE-A services. Telekom Slovenije recently claimed to have achieved speeds of 881Mbps in outdoor trials of LTE-A services using 1800MHz and 2600MHz spectrum.
