Personal switches on 2.6GHz LTE in Puerto Madero

12 Oct 2017

Telecom Personal has announced that it has switched on its first 2.6GHz LTE base transceiver station (BTS) in the Buenos Aires neighbourhood of Puerto Madero. The cell site has been enabled to coincide with the ITU’s World Telecommunication Development Conference 2017 event, which is taking place this month at the Hilton Buenos Aires. Customers can expect to access download transmission speeds of up to 100Mbps when in close proximity to the new cell site. In terms of an overall 4G footprint, Personal notes that it now delivers coverage to 980 towns and cities nationwide, including all provincial capitals.
