Vodafone launches fibre service in Kumasi

7 Jul 2017

Leading Ghanaian broadband provider Vodafone Ghana has extended its fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) footprint to the city of Kumasi in the Ashanti region, writes Ghana News Agency. The rollout is in line with the company’s five-year plan to revolutionise digitisation in Ghana according to Vodafone Ghana CEO Yolanda Cuba, while another company representative stated that Vodafone had already signed up more than 1,800 customers in more than 70 communities since its FTTH launch in February this year. The telco previously stated that it plans to cover 50,000 homes by 2019.
