True awards 75% of 100G backbone project to ZTE

23 Jun 2017

China’s ZTE Corporation has announced that it has been awarded contracts for three separate networks in True’s ‘beyond-100G’ backbone WDM deployment in Thailand, and will now be responsible for around 75% of the overall rollout. The new 100G/400G backbone networks will enable True to deliver ultra-large capacity optical transport network (OTN) cross-connection and ultra-long-distance transmission, the vendor’s press release notes. Further, True expects the WDM network to support the growth of its 3G, 4G and fixed line operations.
