True Corp dissolves True Internet subsidiary

14 Jun 2017

In an announcement to the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET), local telecoms giant True Corp has confirmed that it dissolved its 100%-owned subsidiary True Internet Corp on 13 June. The unit operated within the corporate sector, delivering Ethernet fibre, GPON and MPLS services to enterprise clients.

According to TeleGeography’s GlobalComms Database, True Internet was granted its Type 1 (non-infrastructure-based) ISP licence in August 2005. The telco continues to offer residential broadband services via its True Online division; the latter was Thailand’s largest broadband provider by subscribers at 31 March 2017, claiming 2.883 million users.
