Telemach fined for illegal network rollout in Zenica

14 Jun 2017

Bosnia’s Communications Regulatory Agency (Regulatorna agencija za komunikacije, RAK) has fined local broadband and pay-TV provider Telemach for violating the terms of its concession and breaching local regulations.

In a press regarding the matter, the RAK confirmed it had levied a financial penalty of BAM150,000 (USD85,472) against the operator after Telemach was reported to have rolled out infrastructure in the city of Zenica without first obtaining the necessary permissions. According to the regulator, Telemach deployed around 70km of overhead cables using the electricity pylons belonging to utility company Elektropivreda BiH.
