PEOPLEnet CDMA coverage reduced to just two regions

25 Apr 2017

Ukrainian CDMA-based mobile operator PEOPLEnet is reducing its network coverage from four to two regions (oblasts), namely Dnipropetrovsk and Kharkiv, as it will shut down networks in Kiev and Zaporozhye oblasts on 1 May, its press service announced, referring to the shutdowns as part of the company’s ‘optimisation’ of its mobile operations. TeleGeography notes that PEOPLEnet previously reduced its CDMA mobile coverage from seven to four oblasts in October 2016, whilst up until 1 September 2015 it offered CDMA mobile broadband services across all 25 regions of Ukraine.
