Botswana’s BTC launches 4G

10 Apr 2017

Botswana Telecommunications Corporation (BTC) has announced the launch of its LTE network, allowing it to compete with existing 4G providers Mascom and Orange. Although its rivals launched LTE-based services more than two years ago, BTC is claiming to have the widest 4G network coverage, with connectivity available at over 95 sites from launch, according to a report from Mmegi Online. State-backed BTC previously offered cellular services under the beMobile brand, but now uses the BTC banner for all fixed and mobile products.
