Orange Madagasgar launches LTE in Antananarivo

Orange Madagascar, the third largest Malagasy cellco by subscribers, has announced that it has officially launched its 4G LTE network. According to the operator’s website, 4G connectivity is currently restricted to capital city Antananarivo, but local news sources have noted that Orange expects to achieve nationwide coverage by the end of the year.

As previously reported by TeleGeography’s CommsUpdate, Orange successfully tested LTE technology in November 2016.
