Sweden’s Telia Company has announced that its Finnish subsidiary, multi-service operator Sonera, has been rebranded in line with its parent company, taking on the Telia moniker. In a press release Telia Company noted that as a result of this change all of its wholly owned subsidiaries in the Nordic and Baltic region now bear the Telia name, with these six markets now able to ‘fully take advantage of [the group’s] strategy regarding convergence and cross market offerings’. Speaking on the rebranding, Johan Dennelind, Telia Company CEO, said: ‘The change will enable us to better serve our Finnish customers by combining the international strength of Telia Company with the local expertise and position of Sonera.’
