Deutsche Telekom-controlled T-Mobile Czech Republic has announced the launch of a fixed internet service offering maximum connection speeds of up to 100Mbps, using 4G LTE technology. The carrier, which already offers fixed broadband via xDSL technology, says that the addition of an LTE-based solution boosts coverage to a theoretical 97% of households – augmenting coverage and allowing it to provide fast internet in places where it was previously not possible (for example, due to slow, or lack of xDSL). T-Mobile CR now offers fixed internet in three versions – all with unlimited downloads – designed for residential customers and businesses: Fixed Internet 20 includes peak speeds of 20Mbps/5Mbps (down/uplink) and costs CZK399 (USD15.95) per month; Fixed Internet 50 includes peak speeds of 50Mbps/15Mbps and costs CZK499; and Fixed Internet 100 offers 100Mbps/25Mbps and costs CZK599.
