China Mobile HK in cloud core-coo land

14 Feb 2017

China Mobile Hong Kong says it has successfully migrated its legacy networks to a cloud core network based on network functions virtualisation (NFV). The telco worked with Huawei on the migration, which it says took just six months to prepare and activate. China Mobile says the new network architecture not only helps maximise return on investment and improve operation and maintenance efficiency, but also paves the way for future 5G services.
