Telefonica selects Comarch to assist with LatAm network optimisation

1 Feb 2017

Spanish telecoms giant Telefonica has confirmed that it has selected Poland-based vendor Comarch to support the transformation of its transport network in five Latin American countries – Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia and Peru. The overhaul of the telco’s operations support systems (OSS) is expected to help Telefonica optimise network investments, reduce costs in the creation and operation of its transport network, and to shorten the time to market for new resource deployments. Implementation reportedly started in early 2015, and the project is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2017.
