Ukraine’s mobile market leader Kyivstar has given an update on its network modernisation programme, disclosing that its Single RAN upgrade rollout has reached more than 7,000 base transceiver stations (BTS) which are now ready to support both 3G and 4G LTE in anticipation of 4G licensing in late-2017. Kyivstar also announced that following recent rapid expansion its commercial 3G network services now reach around 5,000 settlements, home to 62% of the population of Ukraine.
