Further, the cellco notes that its network now spans a total of 702 towns and cities, stretching from La Quiaca, a small city in the north of the province of Jujuy, opposite Bolivia, down to Ushuaia, the capital of Tierra del Fuego, which is commonly regarded as the southernmost city in the world. In addition, 4G carrier aggregation (CA) connectivity using the 2100MHz/1700MHz and 700MHz bands is said to be available in Buenos Aires, Cordoba, Santiago del Estero, Tucuman, La Rioja, Catamarca, Salta and Jujuy.

Elsewhere, rival operator Movistar Argentina has announced that its own 4G user base has reached 4.4 million, with more than 3,600 LTE base transceiver stations (BTS) in service across 500 cities nationwide. Movistar claims that 52% of the country’s data traffic is currently carried over its 4G networks.
