Omantel accepts offer for WorldCall

Oman Telecommunications Company (Omantel) has accepted an offer for its 56.8% stake in loss-making Pakistani ISP WorldCall Telecom Ltd (WTL) from WorldCall Servies and Ferret Consulting, Muscat Daily reports. The value of the deal was not disclosed, and the transaction is subject to regulatory approval from authorities in Pakistan. The deal will see WorldCall Services purchase Omantel’s 56.8% of ordinary shares in WTL, whilst Ferret Consulting will acquire 100% of WTL’s convertible preference shares.
