Telenor expands 4G coverage to more than 40 cities

19 Oct 2016

Norwegian-owned cellco Telenor Serbia has rolled out its 4G network to 41 towns and cities nationwide. The operator has completed the installation of 450 of its target 620 base stations to be rolled out by the end of the year, by which date it expects its 4G service to be available to more than half of the population. Under the cellco’s deployment programme, all settlements with a population of more than 10,000 will have access to LTE by end-December 2016. To help drive take-up Telenor is offering to replace its users’ existing SIM cards with 4G-compatible SIMs for free.
