ACM begins study of Dutch fixed line market

20 Sep 2016

The Dutch Authority for Consumers and Markets (ACM) has launched a new market analysis of the country’s telecoms markets following the European Commission’s (EC’s) decision to approve the merger of mobile operator Vodafone Netherlands and local cableco Ziggo. The regulator says it wants to assess the level of competition in the fixed line market once the merger is completed, with a particular focus on the ease of access for third-party providers to copper, cable and fibre networks. Submissions are being accepted until 14 October.
