14 Sep 2016

Greenland’s TV broadcaster Nuuk TV has launched a wireless broadband service, following the inking of an agreement with Danish provider Net 1 Denmark (registered under the name Ice Danmark), the Greenlandic Broadcasting Corporation (KNR) reports. Potential subscribers in Nuuk could benefit from the 4G service – with maximum download/upload speeds of 30Mbps/15Mbps – via Nuuk TV’s Nanoq Net unit. The company offers three plans, ranging in price from DKK199 (USD30) for 5GB of data to DKK499 (50GB).

TeleGeography notes that Nuuk TV was authorised to offer wireless broadband services in Nuuk and Nuussauq in April 2014.
