KPN to embark on Vplus trials in October

15 Aug 2016

The wholesale division of Dutch telecoms group KPN is expanding its trials of Vplus technology, with plans to test the technology in early October in three locations in Rotterdam and one in Haarlem, in addition to three sites in Hillegom. Vplus is a DSL technology that allows operators to provide aggregate download/upload speeds of 200Mbps/30Mbps and higher over one copper pair at distances of up to 500 metres. Going forward, the technology is expected to offer up to 400Mbps/60Mbps down/uplink at shorter distances over two copper pairs utilising pair bonding.
