Flow taps Ericsson for managed services in North Caribbean

13 Jul 2016

Cable & Wireless Communications (CWC), which operates across the Caribbean under the Flow brand name, has handed Swedish vendor Ericsson a three-year managed services contract covering twelve markets in the North Caribbean region. The contract will include top-of-the-line field services (including corrective and preventive maintenance of the mobile core and radio equipment) and the introduction of a Network Operations Centre (NOC) to monitor and maintain the mobile networks. With these enhancements, the vendor will seek to deliver higher network availability and reduced outages. Markets covered by the contract have been named as: Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, British Virgin Islands (BVI), Cayman Islands, Dominica, Grenada, Jamaica, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and Turks & Caicos.

Carlo Alloni, executive vice-president and CTIO for CWC, commented: ‘This partnership with Ericsson is part of C&W’s strategy to continually invest in our network, improve the quality of service and innovate technology for our customers throughout the region.’
